January Flower of the Month: Anemones

Introducing our January flower of the month: Anemones! The name anemone comes from the Greek word for "windflower." Thought to bring luck and protect against evil, legend has it that when the anemone closes its petals, it's a signal that rain is approaching. Mythology also connects the anemone to magical fairies, who were believed to sleep under the petals after they closed at sunset.

Here in the JoyBox studios, we think the Anemone brings a touch of magic to each arrangement. We love the vibrant indigo and rich red tones of these winter varieties. We designed two limited edition Luxe boxes featuring these beauties, and they won't be around for long since anemone season is almost over! Send Joy (and perhaps even luck) to your loved ones with this whimsical and gorgeous bloom.
